BBC micro:bit V2

Introducing the BBC micro:bit, a revolutionary open-source platform originally developed by the BBC to foster computer education. Compact in design, this device is roughly half the size of a credit card, packed with features to ignite creativity and innovation.

The micro:bit V2 is equipped with an accelerometer to detect movements and tilts, and a magnetic sensor that can identify metal objects or function as a compass. It boasts a versatile 5 x 5 LED display, which, along with two built-in push buttons, offers endless possibilities for creative projects.

Connectivity is further enhanced with three additional input points through 5 ring connectors (two designated for power and ground), compatible with alligator or banana connectors. These connectors are part of an extensive 23 pin edge connector, ideal for more complex undertakings. Moreover, USB and Bluetooth? capabilities allow for easy integration with a variety of peripherals.

It also includes a built-in microphone and speaker, simplifying the incorporation of sound and interactive elements into your projects.

Programming the micro:bit is user-friendly, with support for Microsoft MakeCode and MicroPython, both accessible via the micro:bit foundation website.
